A long time ago, in a computer system far,
far obsolete....

It is a period of crazy life. Outcast nerds dominate the scene, scavenging RENPAC X.25 networks and Bulletin Board Systems for utilities, games and demos. But in the small suburban town of Osasco, bad service and high phone bills drove debt and families into disarray. Also fights for who gets to use the phone, on top of few sources made it hard to keep up with the latest releases. Some resorted to crooked softwarehouses and jacked up prices. Despair befell many.

Unwilling to pay for piracy, Roger 'Von Richthofen' and his trusted sidekick Bifa, a.k.a. 'Knight Rider', managed to retrofit an Apple ][+ computer into the glove compartment of an old silver Chevrolet Chevette, complete with power adaptor, 2400 bps full duplex modem, monitor, detachable keyboard and a long...
...very long set of alligator cables.

Together, they ventured into the night.
